Ok I am not a smoker. Nor am I a mother yet. But.....
If you are a mother and your child suffers from chronic asthma why in heavens sake would you smoke!
I have a mother here at work that is constantly having to be out of work because her youngest child has severe asthma. I hear her stories of taking him to the doctor and what problems he is having now and about his hospital visits. I can't help but sit there and want to scream at her "DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO HIM?!?!"
I do have asthma so I am familiar with the condition and I can say that sometimes even the smell of smoke on someone's clothes will bother me. Last night I ate with friends in Buffalo Wild Wings which has a smoking section and I am suffering for it today.
If you are a mother you have a responsibility to your children's health and..... UGH I am so mad right now. WHY ARE YOU SMOKING WITH AN ASTHMATIC CHILD?????
To me that is child abuse!
Ok...had to get that out since I cannot actually say it to the woman here. I am still working on finding a site to host the video :(

Amen to the rant. I agree emphatically. I think you were actually too nice. LOL
:) Thanks. And yes I was way nice but I do try to reign in my temper at times.
i have a great deal of difficulty remaining calm about this too. i'm also asthmatic and i while i realize smoking is a very potent addiction, i can't imagine not being moved to do somethign when you see your child gasping for breath.
