A fun Christmas thing....

I saw this on Lime's blog and had to steal it.

He never brought presents, he only brought candy and small knicknacks to put in our stockings.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Colored when I was a kid, white now. When I have children I want two trees. One with white lights and fancy decorations for the front window and another with all the childrens decorations and fun decorations with colored lights in the living room/den where the presents and such are.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
I might this year *wink*

5. When do you put up your decorations?
Not until after the first of December. I am a major Thanksgiving advocate and I cannot stand the fact that it is overlooked. You can read some of my rants from last year about this in November 2005 on the sidelinks.

6 What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Potato Casserole, not sweet potato, regular hasbrown potato casserole

I was three or four I think. I figured it out quick but then I just knew to bother mom about what would be in my stocking LOL

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
If we can con mother into it.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
Step one: get tree or put tree together
Step two: fuss about fluffing tree
Step three: fuss more about tree shape and all lights working
Step four: curse and leave tree for a while until calm then return
Step five: drag stool to closet to climb into that dark corner and dig out ornaments while balancing precariously because stool is not quite tall enough
Step six: breathe sigh of relief when you manage to get ornaments down without breaking neck
Step seven: spread ornaments, beads, etc out in living room floor, swat at cat who tries to attack ornaments
Step eight: groan and fuss about the massive mess of hooks, swat again at cat
Step nine: start strategically placing the ornaments on the tree while fussing at the other non-OCD helpers at how they are not supposed to put a big ball next to another big ball of the same color!
Step ten: go back and move all the non-OCD helpers balls that weren't placed correctly (in your opinion), swat at cat, then clean up ball you broke while swatting at cat
Step eleven: stand back and look from all angles to make sure tree is geometrically decorated and perfection is complete
Step twelve: gather all presents and place them strategically under tree while scouting out the ones with your name on the label
Step thirteen: fuss at the non-OCD helpers about missplaced packages and fix the packages they placed
Step fourteen: turns on lights and stand back exclaiming how it is the prettiest tree ever and hug the non-OCD helpers telling them they did a great job!

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
Snow...what is that?

12. Can you ice skate?
